Ink and Aftercare
I provide you with after care instructions once i finish your tattoo and i will check up on how you are healing as well.In case you forget the rules...The basic rules are these: 1. Wash you tattoo 3x a day with MILD soap (preferrably anti-bactirial) then apply either Tattoo Goo (which i can provide to you) or a mild lotion such as Lubriderm, Nivea or Vaseline Intensive Care lotions (the generic equivalents are fine)... NO neosporin, mycitracin, bacitracin, triple antibiotic gels or anything like them unless you have an infection, which you won't get because you will be properly taking care of MY tattoo like a good client should.
2. No direct sunlight for 2 weeks. This includes the sun as well as all tanning beds and apparatus. I say this because i burnt my own tattoo in less than 20 minutes in the sun... i had NEVER burnt in my life prior to that. It took over a month to heal, so i KNOW what i am talking about when i say NO SUNLIGHT OR TANNING.
3. No swimming in rivers, lakes, ponds, local quarries, oceans or chlorine treated water. No soaking baths. You can shower as normal but do not use any loofahs, sponges, poofies or wash cloths over the surface of the tattoo until the healing process is complete. After burning the above mentioned tattoo to a second degree burn in sunlight, i figured, how much worse can this get... so i went swimming. BIG mistake. That night found me hooked up to IV anti-biotics. So... NO SWIMMING FOR 2 WEEKS.
4. Any questions, comments, concerns or statements beginning with "OH MY GOD MY TATTOO IS _____... ..." can be directed to me via phone or email.

The Big Answer to the BIG Question...
Yes... it hurts. You will feel something. It is NOT excruciating in MOST places on your skin. If you want to know if it will hurt, ask yourself, "What is behind my tattoo?" as in organs and critical arteries. The chest WILL hurt (heart, lungs). The lower back on women will hurt... but not so much on men. The thighs hurt (femoral artery). Oddly enough, it does not matter if you are "bony" or not. There are also numbing agents that DO work. EMLA creme or its over-the-counter equivalent is the only product i have found that dulls the pain. It takes a while to kick in though, so read the instructions and apply as directed BEFORE coming for ink.

IF YOU ARE DRUNK/HAVE BEEN DRINKING OR ARE IN ANY ALTERED STATE OF MIND THROUGH ANY CHEMICAL (LEGAL OR OTHERWISE) MEANS, I WILL NOT TATTOO YOU. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Fear is Normal...
I know how it goes... you want a tattoo, but you are afraid of needles. Guess what, so am i. I am terrified of, what i call, "real needles". Straight ones, like the kind used for shots and piercings. Take my word for this... a tattoo is not the same kind of feeling. Remember when you were a kid and your evil sibling gave you an "indian rug burn"? Hours later it was so annoying, but didn't really hurt all that bad. That is what MOST tattoos feel like. It's just irritating. However, some places (and some people) are more sensitive than others. You know how much you can take. Choose accordingly. Big tigers look cool, but needing a break every 5 minutes can turn a 2 hour tat into 5 hours of sheer torture.
